As a Data Modeling Intern, you will:
Work closely with our team to design and manage a sophisticated data model for Atlas, our cutting-edge platform that bridges the global labor market. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with data engineering, database design, and automation, contributing to a system that integrates worker profiles, career attributes, job opportunities, corporate data, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Model Design:
Assist in designing and refining a comprehensive data model encompassing diverse labor market data, including worker profiles, job positions, corporations, and educational institutions.
Collaborate with the team to ensure the data model supports platform features and scalability.
Data Analysis & Collection:
Research and collect relevant public labor market data from various sources.
Analyze privately sourced datasets from third-party providers to integrate into the Atlas system.
ETL Programming & Automation:
Develop Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) routines to process and prepare data for integration.
Automate data workflows to ensure timely updates and efficient processing of large datasets.
Database Design & Management:
Contribute to the setup, configuration, and maintenance of MongoDB collections.
Ensure database structures are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Implement data integrity and validation rules to ensure quality and accuracy.
Collaboration with Development Teams:
Work closely with the engineering and product teams to align database designs with platform requirements.
Provide input on data architecture to support new features and enhancements.
Ideal Candidate:
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with database management systems (experience with MongoDB is a plus).
Proficiency in programming for ETL pipelines (Python, SQL, or similar).
Understanding of data modeling concepts and principles.
Analytical Mindset:
Ability to analyze complex datasets and identify patterns or inconsistencies.
Keen attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and model efficiency.
