Role Overview

We’re looking for a Communications Intern to help us tell the BioFlux story, translate complex information into engaging content, and support our outreach efforts.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in writing and storytelling—whether through articles, blogs, or reports—and who enjoys transforming quantitative data into clear, qualitative narratives. You’ll help ensure our ideas, projects, and impact are communicated in a way that resonates with diverse audiences, from policymakers to the general public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft articles, blogs, and thought pieces that showcase BioFlux’s work and mission.

  • Translate quantitative data and technical insights into accessible, qualitative content.

  • Support outreach initiatives, including drafting emails, materials, or event communications.

  • Research and summarise developments in climate, policy, and sustainability relevant to the biochar sector.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure messaging is consistent, engaging, and impact-driven.

Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about communication, storytelling, and making complex issues accessible.

  • Strong in writing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.

  • Analytical, able to process quantitative information and present it through compelling qualitative work.

  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment.

  • Background in communications, European politics, international relations, journalism, or similar is a strong plus.

  • Interest in sustainability or climate innovation is welcome, but not required—curiosity and willingness to learn matter most.

Internship Details

  • Location: Remote (Europe-based)

  • Compensation: Up to €1,000/month, depending on experience and profile

Why Apply?

  • Learn how to communicate technical and policy-related issues in an accessible and impactful way.

  • Work closely with a small, passionate team where your content will directly shape how BioFlux is seen by partners and stakeholders.

  • Be part of a company committed to climate justice, storytelling, and creating tangible climate impact.
